4. Is the VIP E-Cig regulated?
Yes! From 2016 there are 2 ways in which electronic cigarettes can be regulated. They can be regulated as tobacco products under the EC Tobacco Products Directive (TPD), all VIP products are TPD compliant.
Sales of electronic cigarettes are covered by the General Product Safety Directive (GPSD) and general consumer protection laws. The VIP E-Cig is regulated by several government bodies including CHIP, COSHH, NMO and Trading Standards. Products are inspected, tested and analysed for possible toxicity and dangerous contaminants. E-cigarettes are regulated in the UK.
The VIP E-Cig is not regulated as a medicine because the device is not a pharmaceutical product and therefore cannot be regulated by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). 5. What ingredients are in e-liquids?
UKAS accredited laboratories conduct testing for VIP and hundreds of other similar tests have been carried out within the industry, as well as independent government testing. The multitude of tests demonstrates precisely what is in the liquid ingredients:

6. What is propylene glycol?
Commonly referred to as PG and sometimes listed as 'propane-1,2-diol' in research articles, is an odourless, colourless and slightly sweet organic binding agent. Over 70 years of research has been conducted on PG proving that it is safe for human inhalation over long periods of time and the reason PG is used as the base compound for asthma inhalers. Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Gycerine have been classified as GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) and do not represent a cancer hazard. PG attracts moisture which can lead to the drying of the throat and causes it to feel sore. This usually passes after a couple of days and drinking more fluid may help relieve the symptoms. If you are allergic to PG we recommend that you seek the advice of your GP before purchasing or using the VIP E-Cig.
7. Is nicotine harmful?
Nicotine is not a known carcinogenic and links to health issues are mostly inconclusive, but it is addictive. In excessive quantities it is classed as a poison, which is why toxic labelling is required. VIP E-Cig nicotine levels are well below the legally permissible limit.
8. Are VIP cartomisers and e-liquids suitable for vegetarians?
Yes. The VIP E-Cig main ingredients are; Propylene Glycol, Vegetable Gylcerine, Nicotine and Flavourings, and is therefore suitable for vegetarians.

11. Which strength of refill or e-liquid should I choose?
Cartomizer refill and e-liquid strength is a personal preference. We provide the following purely as a guide.
Strong 20mg (2.0% per ml) - 15 to 20+ cigarettes per day or trying to limit nicotine consumption
Regular 16mg (1.6% per ml) - 10 to 15 cigarettes per day or trying to limit nicotine consumption
Mild 11mg (1.1% per ml) - 10 cigarettes or less per day or trying to limit nicotine consumption
Zero 0mg - Nicotine-free solution
Please note that the majority of our e-liquids have nicotine strengths ranging from 0mg to 20mg.
12. How do I know when the cartomizer needs changing?
There are a number of signals that indicate the cartomizer needs to be changed. The volume of vapour will decrease or some vapour will still be visible, but the flavour may start to taste slightly bitter.
Before you change the refill it's a good idea to check that the battery has sufficient power. Always make sure your battery is in perfect working order. An undercharged, damaged or old battery will not vaporise the refill ingredients efficiently which can lead to loss of vapour and the need to replace cartomizers more frequently.
13. How do I know when a VIP E-Cig battery needs recharging?
The tip flashing is a low power warning which indicates the battery needs to be recharged.
The VIP E-Cig battery can be recharged at any point of the usage cycle. If you can avoid fully discharging the battery repeatedly and recharge the battery before the tip blinks it will help to prolong its lifespan.
14. Can you provide any battery safety information?
VIP electronic cigarettes have safe-circuitry and overcharge protection built-in. However, storing your battery or using your battery incorrectly may damage the incorporated safety features.

15. How do I store VIP electronic cigarettes?
Keep out of reach of children and pets for reasons of safety.
The battery should be stored in the VIP box provided or in the optional hard case, away from sources of heat and direct sunlight when not in use. If you are not a regular user or only plan on using the VIP E-Cig occasionally then always make sure you charge the battery fully before storing. The battery should always be recharged when depleted.
Cartomizer refills are not intended to be stored for a prolonged period of time in a domestic environment and are best consumed within one month of purchasing. Refills should be stored out of direct sunlight and away from sources of heat and humidity, preferably in a cool, dark cupboard or drawer. Refills are sealed with an outer wrapper to preserve their freshness, but refill contents will start to degrade and evaporate in a domestic environment.
VIP have special storage facilities to preserve the integrity of ingredients. Consumable products are only transferred to our central distribution centre when new stock is required. Our storage and production process assures only goods in peak condition are received by customers.
16. How long do clearomisers last?
We recommend replacing the clearomizers within 30 days of first use. All clearomizers are consumable and personal usage and maintenance will affect their lifespan which makes it very difficult to determine how long each one will last.
For your safety, always refill with VIP's specially formulated e-liquids. Refilling the clearomizers with sub-standard, low quality or inaccurately formulated e-liquids may significantly reduce or damage the clearomizer and Photon battery.
17. Who can use VIP products?
VIP products can be purchased and used by anyone aged 18 years or older in the UK. If you are planning to become pregnant, are pregnant or breast feeding we recommend consulting your GP before purchasing or using VIP products due to them containing nicotine. If you are unsure, please consult your doctor before purchasing any electronic cigarette product. The VIP products use flavourings that may contain traces of nuts.
18. Why has my card been declined?
All credit card and debit card online orders are processed by Sagepay. The authorisation checks carried out by Sagepay can only verify UK registered cards. For orders outside of the UK - eg: Eire, Europe, US, please pay by Paypal by selecting this option at checkout.
If your UK credit/debit card is declined please carefully check the billing address details provided ensuring they match your card registered address. The Security Code or AVS check is the last three digits on the back of your card.
19. What company name will appear on my statement or Paypal receipt?
Nicoventures Retail (UK) Limited will appear on statements and receipts.
20. Where is my invoice or order confirmation?
Order confirmations, tracking information and invoices are automatically e-mailed to customers. You may need to check your e-mail spam or junk folder if you are unable to see messages in your main inbox. A packing slip is sent with the order to the delivery address and will not display the cost of items purchased.
Our order error report shows that hundreds of confirmation e-mails are sent to non-existent e-mail addresses. Please check the e-mail address you have provided is correct. Most common problem: email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
21. How do I see my order history?
You will need to create an 'Account' prior to completing the checkout process to keep track of your full order history. If you use the Instant Checkout option you will not be able to view your complete order history.

23. How long does delivery take?
Orders received by 1pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) will be shipped same day, subject to stock availability. Orders placed after 1pm will be shipped next working day*. International orders are subject to the country’s importation regulations. VIP will not accept liability should the goods fail to clear customs for any reason*.
