What is in a Tobacco Cigarette?

If you are tobacco cigarette smoker you may be very surprised that your cigarette is not only packed with up to 600 additives, some to keep you addicted, but according to Cancer Research UK, there are around 4000 harmful chemicals found in tobacco cigarettes.

Main Dangers of Tobacco Smoking

Tar deposits directly into the lungs each time a cigarette is inhaled. It is estimated that 1/2 kg of tar each year is deposited in the lungs of someone smoking 20 or more tobacco cigarettes a day.

Carbon Monoxide is a poisonous gas emitted from car exhaust pipes, but is also found in high levels of concentration in tobacco cigarette smoke. A 20 or more a day cigarette smoker can have up to a 10 times higher carbon monoxide level than that of a non-smoker. High levels of carbon monoxide reduces circulation and leads to the clogging of arteries.
