People who smoke will no doubt be aware of the dangers surrounding smoking tobacco cigarettes. Government warning messages are printed on each pouch of rolling tobacco and packet of cigarettes. To a smoker sometimes it is hard to digest these facts let alone do anything about them.
Every tax paying person could argue that the government could just simply ban the sale of tobacco. After all, the dangers of tobacco are well documented by many health departments.
"Of the more than 1 billion smokers alive today, around 500 million will be killed by tobacco," states the WHO Report on the Global Tobacco Epidemic, 2008.
The WHO's report also goes on to say "Tobacco currently kills 5.4 million people per year."
Very disturbing numbers of people die each year because of tobacco smoking. Several years ago there were no real tobacco alternatives and giving up smoking for good was asking too much from a heavy smoker. Unfortunately innocent victims suffer. Parents and grand parents who have been killed by tobacco related diseases leave behind young families. But, worst of all, is the second hand smoke inhaled by young children.
Now, there are alternatives to tobacco cigarettes, including the ingenius electronic cigarette. People who wish to enjoy their habit and keep smoking just need to try them.
