USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

Congratulations on purchasing the VIP Electronic Cigarette. Please read the User Guide fully before use.

Warning - Please Read Prior to Use

  1. Minors are forbidden to use the VIP Electronic Cigarette smoking device.
  2. Nicotine is addictive. Effects of nicotine can last from minutes to several hours.
  3. VIP products are intended for use by smokers aged 18 years or older.
  4. Keep nicotine cartridges and cartomizers in a safe place and away from children and pets.
  5. Cartomizers can present a choking hazard and if swallowed can be poisonous.
  6. Nicotine in pure form is a poison, and can cause serious harm if ingested and medical assistance should be sought immediately.
  7. Do not use if you are pregnant, whilst breastfeeding, if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes or are taking medicine for depression or asthma.
  8. Consult a medical advice if you experience nicotine misuse symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, diarrhoea, weakness or rapid heartbeat.
  9. VIP do not provide NRT (Nicotine Replacement Therapy)
  10. VIP is not sold or recognized as stop smoking or smoking cessation aid
  11. VIP are not a pharmaceutical company or produce medical products.

Preparing for Use

Step 1

Screw the battery clockwise into the battery charger (USB cable charger or mains charger). Plug the charger into the power source, via mains lead and plug or USB connection, depending on your product option. The indicator light on the mains battery charger will illuminate red and the tip of the cigarette will flash 10 times, indicating charging is in progress. The battery charger indicator light will turn blue when the battery is fully charged and ready for use. The USB cable charger does not illuminate when charging. The initial charge may take up to 3 hours (2 hours thereafter). Unscrew the battery anti-clockwise from the battery charger when fully charged.

Step 2

Remove a cartomizer (cartridge) from the cellophane pack and discard the protective cap. Screw the battery onto the cartomizer (cartridge) unit by turning clockwise. Warning : If during installation of the cartomizer (cartridge) any ingredients come in contact with your skin, rinse immediately and thoroughly with clean water.

Smoking the VIP Electronic Cigarette

Draw on the VIP electronic cigarette a couple of times and inhale just as you would on a normal cigarette. This drawing or inhaling action will turn the device on, indicated by the glow of the VIP electronic cigarette tip. When you stop inhaling, it will automatically stop the vapour process, and the device will go into standby. The tip will also cease to glow. When you draw on the VIP electronic cigarette, you will taste the flavour. If you inhale deeply, you will feel the warm vapour in your throat, with less simulated smoke being produced when you exhale. Inhaling to a lesser extent will allow more of the simulated smoke to be visible on the exhale, similar to tobacco smoking. Inhaling to a greater or lesser extent will effect the feeling gained from the nicotine.

TIP: How deep and how often you draw will reflect in how long a cartomizer will last before it needs to be replaced. The simulation of smoking a real cigarette is equal to around 7 inhales on the electronic cigarette.

Built-in Intelligent Warning System

To avoid over consumption, the VIP cigarette device will notify you if you inhale 16 times within 1 minute by the tip flashing 10 times. Should you inhale the device continually for more than 5 seconds, the tip will flash 10 times. Neither of these notifications will affect the operation of the VIP device. Note: 7 draws or puffs on the device is equal to approximately 1 normal cigarette.

What Are the Effects of Nicotine?

Nicotine is an alkaloid found in certain plants, predominantly tobacco, and in lower quantities tomato, potato, eggplant and green pepper. When absorbed in small amounts, whether from cigarettes, cigars or VIP, nicotine can cause stimulation, a feeling of relaxation, calmness, and alertness. The effects of nicotine can last from minutes to hours.

Possible Usage Problems

Should you experience little or no vapour, ensure that your battery is fully charged and properly attached to the device, and that the cartomizer is correctly fitted to the device. Replace the cartomizer with a new VIP cartomizer when the volume of vapour (smoke) is reduced below a satisfactory level.

VIP Cartomizer Care

The VIP cartridges should be kept in the unopened cellophane covers until needed. Keep cartomizers out of the reach of children and pets. If any of the cartomizer ingredients come in contact with your skin rinse immediately and thoroughly with clean water. If swallowed contact your GP. VIP cartomizers are designed to be used in the VIP electronic cigarette and visa versa and in accordance with the user instructions.

How Long Does a Cartomizer Last?

Comparatively, one cartomizer will last the equivalent of approximately 35-40 traditional tobacco cigarettes. A 20-day cigarette smoker will therefore require approximately 15-20 cartomizers for the entire month.

How Much Maintenance is Required

VIP is very easy to use. In general, the only maintenance required is charging and replacing batteries, as well as inserting fresh cartomizers. It is recommended to keep the VIP device away from water.

Is VIP a Cessation Aid?

VIP is not proven to be a cessation device and is not sold or marketed as such. VIP is an alternative to smoking that offers the freedom to smoke anywhere, no first or second hand smoke, virtually odour-free smoking, non-flammability, convenience, and lower cost than traditional smoking.

Can I Smoke a VIP Anywhere?

The VIP Electronic Cigarette is non-flammable, does not contain tobacco and does not emit secondhand smoke and is not prohibited by law. VIP customers have used the product in pubs, restaurants, at work and in other places where traditional smoking is banned. However, do not be surprised when people think you are smoking a real cigarette. To the casual observer, using the VIP Electronic Cigarette looks the same as traditional smoking. By explaining to others how VIP works it has spread awareness for using the product anywhere.

Where Does The Smoke Go?

VIP emits what appears to be smoke, but is actually a virtually odourless mist that evaporates into the air within seconds. This is similar to the functioning of a humidifier. VIP leaves no visual residue in the air, or lingering smell in clothes, home or car.
