Electronic Cigarette History

Compared to the tobacco cigarette, the electronic cigarette is a quite a recent invention. However, it has rapidly become a global best selling alternative to tobacco cigarettes.

Electronic cigarettes were not an American creation as many U.S. corporations and small traders would have you believe.

Hon Lik developed the first working version of an electronic cigarette making this an invention of Chinese origin.

The original Chinese version used ultrasonic technology. Most electronic cigarettes for sale worldwide currently use a significantly altered design involving a heating element called an atomizer unit.

The electronic cigarette is advertised in many different ways by companies selling the product.

Some companies sell it as a stop smoking aid or smoking cessation product. This information can be misleading.

World Health Organization issued a statement to say that it does not consider the electronic cigarette to be a legitimate smoking cessation aid.

The electronic cigarette can accurately be described as :-

• an alternative to tobacco cigarettes
• a solution to the smoking ban
• a leisure smoking device
• a cheaper alternative to tobacco

Anyone buying a starter kit should do so direct and not through an affiliate reseller who are unable to offer a refunds or deal with customer questions.
